A 20-year partnership based on mutual trust and respect, product quality and a keen understanding of the market. This is the partnership between Mattei Group and JA Trykluft ApS.
Andreas Skjold, founder and owner of the Danish company and authorized Mattei distributor, has been working with the Vimodrone-based group since 2005, the year JA Trykluft was founded. "There are many reasons behind the decision to work with Mattei, first and foremost the exclusivity of the vane technology. We are a company that offers optimal solutions for the production of compressed air, and in addition to installation we provide first-rate technical service. Many of our competitors are not familiar with vane technology and cannot offer assistance services, so this is a competitive advantage for us,” he explains. “In addition, and this is crucial, people who buy a vane compressor immediately realize the advantages of this technology. In Denmark, we say that ‘if you sell the first vane compressor, it is very easy to sell the second one’ because customers are won over by its reliability and lifespan. We have installed compressors that have run for 100,000 hours, maybe even more.”
Exclusive technology, reliability, and lifespan are essential, but these are just some of the reasons why Skjold chose Mattei: “Flexibility, planning, and the ability to listen to one's customers are equally important. I like to choose my suppliers carefully. It is important that they are reliable, but also flexible. In the gas application market, we requested some customizations and Mattei's design and engineering department went above and beyond to accommodate our requests. We are among the top ten companies in the industry in Denmark, I like to work with suppliers that are similar in size to ours since it is easier to understand each other.”
Skjold is also clear about the reasons why customers choose Mattei's vane compressors:
JA Trykluft ApS is also a valuable benchmark from which to assess the condition of the Danish market. “We are active in three sectors: farms (milking robots), biogas, and industrial production in general, from food to mechanics – wherever compressed air is needed,” clarifies Skjold. “The current times aren’t easy, but there are positive signs, we have many active offers, and I believe we will see a recovery in the second half of the year. The gas plant manufacturing sector is showing great signs, especially in Norway where we will soon be commissioning two more AGi 110 units in a new plant with membrane technology. Additionally, we are working on several other projects. The U.S. market is also interesting, where we are partnering with another supplier of upgrading systems. The American market has notable differences: farms are much larger than in Europe, reaching up to 16,000 cattle, so theoretically they have more potential for creating biogas, which, however, is used on site because the distribution network is much less developed.”
Andreas Skjold has developed a deep technical knowledge of the industry over the years and he remembers the plants he has installed in his career in detail, thanks in part to the valuable collaboration with his colleague Johan Kold, a true fan of vane technology. “I think it is essential that the compressors I have installed work well. If something goes wrong, I have to intervene, it is my responsibility, but it must be said that we usually hit the target on the first try, even when it is complicated.”
The partnership between JA Trykluft ApS and Mattei is a perfect match that is hugely beneficial for customers.
