The ambition is to become number one in the world, in part thanks to the added value derived from Mattei compressors.
Recutech is a manufacturer of high-quality counterflow heat exchangers, based in Pardubice, Czech Republic. The company employs 100 people and has big ambitions for further growth, so much so that construction of a new 20,000 square-metre production facility is already underway, which will almost triple the current production capacity of the Czech company: “We are well aware that the competition in this sector never sleeps”, says Recutech CEO, Filip Hazuka, “and so we must respond with ever greater effectiveness to the demands of a rapidly developing market”.

“That is why I take personal care of the continuous development of our products, including the careful choice of suppliers upon whom we rely. The pillars on which our business is based are quality, innovation and maintaining a long-term relationship with our customers” he explains. “This is why we chose to work with a partner like Mattei, a company we know we can completely rely upon, as their products guarantee exceptional quality and durability”.
A partnership born more than ten years ago, which continues today more solidly than ever: “Every year we come up with new ideas and innovations which bring Recutech closer to our ambitious goal; to become the world leader in counterflow hear exchangers” says Hazuka, who goes on to admit: “Choosing Mattei was a gamble for us. At the beginning we had some doubts about the reliability of rotary vane compressors in a business like ours, working constantly in three shifts every 24 hours, but these machines have demonstrated their efficiency and effectiveness day after day, confirming that we made the right choice back in 2010”. Recutech’s CEO adds: “We’ve since purchased many other Mattei compressors that have helped us to grow as a company, in fact we’ve just ordered a new Maxima Xtreme 75 R with heat recovery system for our new facility”.
The future looks increasingly bright for Recutech, who along with the new plant are also preparing to expand its staff: “We are growing,” confirms Hazuka with a touch of pride, “not only in the plant and equipment but also in terms of people; whom are the real driving force behind this company. That’s why we’re planning to hire and train dozens of new personnel, with the aim of becoming the benchmark for the entire market”.
Recutech has experienced constant growth in recent years; from 2010 with the start of production of the first heat exchangers, into 2019, when the Czech company earned the title of “The largest manufacturer of aluminium counterflow heat exchangers in the world”, Hazuka continues. “In addition to the completion of the new premises and facilities, we want to continue to focus on quality and above all our ability to innovate, both in terms of process optimisation and the product itself. In fact, right now we are developing a new prototype exchanger that is destined to become the world’s best in the category”.
The start of this success was down to MONDO s.r.o., a Czech company founded in 1992, that develops and manufactures original compressors, based on Mattei rotary vane technology, for the rail sector. It was actually MONDO that created the basis for the collaboration between Mattei and Recutech.
This story starts in 1996: “when MONDO became an authorised dealer and service centre for Mattei compressors,” confirms Michal Ribenský from MONDO’s marketing department. “we approached Recutech in 2010 and won a tender to supply their compressors. We proposed Mattei and their rotary vane technology as the solution to increase production thanks to their energy efficiency and low servicing costs. The first compressor installed was a Mattei AC22 and for MONDO it was love at first sight. Since then the Mattei/Recutech/MONDO triangle has become a solid, long-lasting partnership, destined to continue achieving important milestones together”.

All the pneumatic equipment at the French plant of the world leader in steam technology and thermal energy management are powered by Mattei compressors. Reliability and efficiency are the main reasons for the continued success of this partnership.
Compressed air is vital for industry as it drives many production facilities and pieces of equipment. Its use is responsible for more than 10% of industrial energy consumption, meaning the choice of compressor becomes essential when looking to maintain control of energy costs. The English company Luxfer Gas Cylinders is an excellent example of obtaining efficiency in this regard.
