The Mattei RVDi Series includes variable-speed rotary vane compressors from 4 to 55 kW, designed for industrial applications with fluctuating compressed air demand.

By combining inverter technology, direct-drive transmission and Mattei's proprietary rotary vane compressor unit, the RVDi Series continuously adapts air delivery to actual system requirements, helping optimise energy consumption while ensuring reliable compressed air supply. Flow rates range from 0.51 to 9.27 m³/min.

Available in enclosure and open-frame configurations depending on model, the RVDi Series integrates advanced electronic controls, Industry 4.0 connectivity, long-life components and dedicated cooling solutions, making it suitable for a wide range of industrial operating conditions.

Main technical features of the RVDi series:

Variable-speed operation. The integrated inverter continuously adjusts compressor speed according to compressed air demand, maintaining pressure stability and avoiding unnecessary unloaded running. The system is designed to maximise efficiency across a broad operating range while adapting air production to real plant requirements.
Direct-drive transmission.The 1:1 direct-drive coupling eliminates belts and gears, reducing transmission losses and associated maintenance requirements. The flexible coupling ensures precise alignment, reliable power transmission and long service life.
Long-life rotary vane technology. At the core of every RVDi compressor is Mattei's proprietary bearingless rotor-stator unit. Designed for more than 100,000 operating hours, it does not require scheduled airend overhauls, helping reduce lifecycle costs and simplifying long-term compressor ownership.
Advanced electronic control and connectivity. The RVDi range features Mattei's latest generation controllers: MAIA on models 4-22 kW and Maestro XC on models 30-55 kW. Touchscreen interfaces, programmable operating modes, maintenance reminders, Ethernet connectivity, remote monitoring and cloud integration provide complete compressor management and real-time operating visibility.
Dedicated cooling solutions. The cooling systems are designed to ensure reliable operation even in demanding industrial environments. The RVDi 4-22 range is rated for ambient temperatures up to 46°C, while RVDi 30-55 units feature Mattei's Isolated Cooling Zone Technology and oversized coolers rated up to 45°C ambient temperature.
Simplified maintenance. Easy access to service components, extended-life filtration systems and maintenance-oriented layouts facilitate routine servicing and minimise downtime. On RVDi 30-55 models, oil filters are rated up to 5,000 hours and air/oil separators up to 10,000 hours.
Industry 4.0 ready. Cloud connectivity, remote diagnostics, compressor network management and performance monitoring enable integration into modern industrial environments and support data-driven maintenance strategies.
