MATTEI: ALWAYS ONE STEP AHEAD

New team, new products: these are two major drivers of Mattei’s growth in the industrial applications sector, according to Philippe Cluchague, Mattei’s Industrial Division Director.

“The division has recently been reorganized and we have introduced several new assets”, he explains,  “one of these is the team. We have added new resources and an intermediate managerial level in order to better manage the activities and guarantee the necessary support to all Mattei partners".

Philippe Cluchague then focuses its attention on the products. “In the industrial applications sector, Mattei has always been one step ahead of its competitors”, he underlines, “but the RVX series last year represents an absolute novelty. The patented Xtreme technology, represented by the X in the acronym, has made the compressors very efficient, in most of cases more so than those of the competitors. When I talk about efficiency, I mean they use much less energy to produce compressed air.”

The industrial market segment is growing and requires “CONNECTED” and efficient “VARIABLE SPEED” compressors, a requirement Mattei has fulfilled with the RVXi. “In addition, we have introduced the RVX Ultra Performance, the top of the line level of EFFICIENCY in the industry.”

RVD 55i_desBut the innovations in the sector won’t stop there "In 2023, we will market a new range, the RVD, where D means Direct Drive: it is a reliable fixed-speed series from 30 to 55kW, which will be also available in variable speed version, to satisfy the requirements of the market. We are also developing the RVX 110, 132, 160 and 200 kW versions to cover the market segments that have a larger air demand".

The industrial division has a broad and diverse field of applications because there are so many sectors that require the use of compressed air, from the production of consumer goods to industrial automation. From the point of view of geographical distribution, Mattei boasts a presence in all the most industrialized markets, from North America to the East and the Far East.  Even though we are rooted in Europe, the last couple of years we have been investing in the US and it is the market in which we have recorded the greatest growth. One of the objectives for 2023 is to increase market share globally, and especially within Italy, Mattei’s home base” reports Philippe Cluchague.

The prospects for expected growth are clear: “in 2023 we expect 20% growth in turnover: this is our challenge. The first results are in line with forecasts and we have a good chance of achieving it. An important contribution in this expansion will come from distributors, both from historical ones and from those who wish to join the team. Mattei's doors are always open for quality distribution”.

One of the elements that is historically linked to Mattei and makes it attractive and recognizable in the industrial segment is reliability. “Reliability has always been part of our identity, complimenting another of our trademark features: energy efficiency.”
