The RVD i Series brings inverter-driven control to the RVD platform, combining Mattei's exclusive direct coupling efficiency with variable-speed motor technology — available from 4 to 22 kW.
The Maia controller continuously adjusts motor speed via PID logic to match real-time air demand, maintaining a stable target pressure without the energy waste typical of fixed-speed compressors.
Peak efficiency is reached at the minimum operating speed (40% load), and the compressor delivers high efficiency across the entire 40–100% load range, which is the optimal operating range for a variable speed compressor.
Operating in Automatic (Inverter) mode, the unit transitions smoothly to off-load when demand drops, then recovers instantly when pressure is needed. Variable-speed technology reduces energy consumption and operating costs compared with fixed-speed compressors.
The RVD i Open Series offers the same inverter-driven technology in a compact open-frame configuration, designed for installations where accessibility, compactness and installation flexibility are priorities.
Like all RVD Open models, it is engineered for easy maintenance access and rapid installation without foundations.
Available as a standalone unit or mounted on a 270 L or 540 L air receiver, the RVD i Open provides a flexible solution for industrial applications requiring variable-speed operation and installation versatility.
