Energy Savings
Mattei compressors are designed based on energy savings and they are equipped with IE3 efficiency class motors.
The low rotation speed of the air end and the 1:1 direct coupling between the electric motor and the compressor ensure energy savings of more than 15% compared to other rotary compressors.
Reduced Operating Cost in the Long Period
Mattei compressors boast the lowest Life Cycle Cost of any air compressor on the market. In railway applications, a Mattei vane compressor ensures more than 35,000 hours of operation with original vanes and original brass bearings.
Perfect Integration
Mattei solutions can be integrated into vehicle systems, either as new installations or as renovations of existing systems. They can be mounted in a complete compressed air generation and treatment unit (AGTU) configuration or they can be used as flexible modules for installations in more extreme environments, guaranteeing an air quality suitable for any type of railway fleet application.
Low Noise Emissions and No Vibrations
Low rotation speed and the reduced number of moving components ensure low noise levels and absence of vibrations even in solutions without external bodywork.
Extreme Operating Conditions
Mattei compressors are able to operate in any weather or environmental condition while maintaining the same quality of the compressed air produced, reliability and operational safety. All components are made with an exclusive cast iron mixture that prevents problems related to differences in thermal expansion. They are also resistant to scratches and corrosion.
Flexible Design
Thanks to the flexible design the compressor can be coupled with a variety of different types of motors, meeting the demands and requirements of vehicle applications. Moreover, the compact and lightweight Mattei solutions can meet the most demanding space requirements.
Simple and Economical Maintenance
Maintenance only involves changing the oil at scheduled intervals, cleaning or changing the air filter and cleaning the radiator. The absence of rolling bearings contributes significantly to reducing maintenance costs. These standard costs are, however, low because of the near unlimited lifespan of the vanes, rotor and if proper maintenance is performed. Over 100,000 hours of operation are guaranteed without the need to replace the compression unit.
