Data, methods, results and monitoring – in short: “facts, not words.” This is how Attilio Lamedica, Industrial Regional Sales Manager of Mattei Group, won over the audience of energy managers attending the 2023 edition of “It's all energy efficiency” in Milan.
“This is an event at which energy experts and entrepreneurs meet to share experiences, updates on industry trends, find concrete solutions to remain competitive and learn about the best technologies to improve efficiency," explains Lamedica. “I represented Mattei as a speaker and obtained excellent feedback from the professionals in attendance.” Working with Mattei for 4 years, Lamedica and the group's engineers have developed an initial consultation process to improve the energy efficiency of compressed air production processes in every production sector.
“Thanks to our know-how, we have developed advanced skills that allow us to offer our services as true business consultants. The first step is to perform a check-up of the compressed air production plant, which we carry out free of charge. We check for leaks, system adjustments, pressure requirements, and we often manage to increase energy efficiency of up to 50%. This process can last from 7 to 10 days depending on the production cycle of the machinery and the sector it belongs to," says the manager. "Then, we propose our MIEM (Mattei Intelligent Energy Management) system, a platform which uses a simulation software to identify the best possible solution to meet the compressed air production needs of the plant in question.”

The experts attending the event were also particularly interested in vane technology and its characteristics, and the innovations that drive Mattei's new series of compressors thanks to Xtreme technology.
“What struck the audience was the possibility of using special modules later in the compressed air production process to recover the heat produced and use it for heating purposes. It is possible to recover up to 85% of the heat, and the modules can be purchased with the compressor or separately," Lamedica explains.
The flexibility of Mattei's systems is one of the features that won over those present, alongside our transparency – "We always deliver the data from our energy audits for free," Lamedica clarifies – as well as the monitoring systems that allow the activity of the machines to be controlled even remotely. But that's still not all. "We said: facts, not words," Lamedica continues. "Mattei isn’t content with just selling a compressed air production system, we want to establish a real partnership with distributors and customers through training opportunities, system and data monitoring after 3 months, and a warranty that lasts 6 years, tangible proof that we believe in what we do and are willing to prove it. We believe this is the best possible approach: cultivating relationships based on transparency, measuring our results with data and letting the facts speak for themselves.”
