Mattei Group, a leader in rotary vane compressor technology for many years, has been at the forefront in developing sustainable and high-performance products capable of significantly contributing to ecological transition and the evolution of integrated mobility systems for both goods and people.
The company will be present at this year’s Next Mobility Exhibition (8th to 10th May) at the Rho Fiera in Milan Italy, the biennial international event dedicated to solutions, technologies, vehicles, and policies for an integrated, innovative, and sustainable people mobility system.
Compressors are essential and an integral component in the transport sector, representing the most advanced solution for meeting all on-board compressed air needs, used for various drive systems (e.g. electric, hydraulic, internal combustion, or power take-offs), the opening and closing of doors, and in critical systems such as braking and pneumatic suspensions. Rotary vane technology ensures high-quality compressed air, extremely compact design, and ultra-low noise levels, making it particularly suitable for installation on electric vehicles.
Mattei will be showcasing three systems at the event: the XT-65, RVT-65, and RVR 01 compressors.
Certified by four international patents, the XT65 compressor (de-integrated) is the solution designed by Mattei for applications on buses and electric and hybrid vehicles. It has been engineered to increase reliability and energy efficiency while reducing maintenance costs, noise, weight, with minimum space requirements. It stands out for its energy-saving qualities: the Mattei XT-65 compressors have recorded significant reductions in energy consumption compared to a traditional piston compression system for use on trucks, representing significant fuel savings. With a package weight between 20 and 35 kg, its lightweight construction makes it extremely flexible, allowing for installation even in the tightest of spaces.
Also present will be the RVT-65, which offers performance and reliability in keeping with the XT65 as a totally integrated solution, ensuring all consumable components are positioned in one location, facilitating quicker and easier maintenance.
Making up the trio, Mattei will be showcase the RVR 01, one of the five models in the RVR compressor series, designed for the Rail and Transit sector. The silent, compact, and efficient, RVR guarantees consistent performance over its lifetime, with unrivalled reliability, practicality, and ease of use.
All of Mattei compressor systems, are designed to reach 100,000 hours of operation without needing to replace the vanes (the heart) or other metal components.
An important defining characteristic of the RVR series is the extremely low rotation speeds, resulting in more air, increased reliability, reduced energy consumption, and an ultra-quiet operation.
