MATTEI UK AT AIRTECH 2016

The important trade fair for the British market will be the stage of the new products developed by Mattei

Airtech, trade fair in Birmingham from April 12 to 14, 2016, will be an important occasion to show Mattei's latest product innovations to the British market. Vimodrone company will be showing with its UK branch, founded in 1987, which has been able to acquire a very important position in the local market of the sector over time.

Airtech is the only fair in Great Britain for compressed air and it is an important opportunity to see our compressors, not only for distributors but also for final customers, contributing to Mattei brand positioning on the market - explains Andy Jones, managing director of Mattei Compressors LtdThe versatility and customisation of Mattei compressors are winning elements that have always allowed us to offer solutions that meet the specific needs of many industrial sectors: from transport to food industry, up to aerospace industry. In addition, the British market appreciates Mattei compressors' universally recognised characteristics, such as reliability, efficiency and maintenance low costs”.

At Airtech 2016, there will be three absolute protagonists at the Mattei stand, that are very promising for the future thanks to the technological forefront concerning reliability and energy saving.

We start with new features tied to the Blade series, with the introduction of a significant expansion to the range aimed at perfecting the offer for small and medium-sized enterprises. We go on with improvements concerning high performances, high efficiency, maintenance low costs and reliability, all within a compressor with a truly compact design.

On the one hand, we open up the field to Blade versions with output from 1.5, 2.2 and 3kW, with flow rate from 0.16 up to 0.32 m3/min. and operative pressures of 10 bars, designed for smaller enterprises everyday needs. These are machines featuring a highly appealing design and overall dimensions reduced to the bare minimum, that however guarantee the quality and performance of an industrial compressor.

Alongside the above, Mattei also presents the new models with outputs of 15, 18.5 and 22 kW for medium-sized enterprises. There are many versions available in this range: Blade i version with variable speed and inverter, Plus with integrated dryer and R with heat recovery.

Mattei compressors characterised by energy efficiency will be also presented at Airtech.
Maxima range of compressors, designed for a constant and uniform compressed air supply during the day, was enriched by Maxima Xtreme, more efficient than the 20% of the sector average and than the 7% of Maxima standard version. In addition to the design renovation, the innovations brought by the Mattei R&D team concern fluid-dynamic performances, from suction to discharge, and the oil injection system, in which the oil is atomised during the compression phase in small high density drops, that intensify its lubricant, sealing and thermal exchange properties. Maxima Xtreme also guarantees high performances, thanks to the 1:1 ratio between the speed of the electric motor and the pump unit and the low rotation speed of the latter, which is only 1,000 revolutions/min.Airtech 2016

And also concerning energy savings, Mattei proposes the Mattei Xpander system, a product that derives from a collaboration project with some of the most prestigious Italian universities. This system allows heat dispersed during the compression phase to be recovered and turned it into power that is pumped back into the industrial cycle. In particular, Mattei Xpander recovers the energy from the hot oil of the compressor circuit, that is usually cooled by a fan. Its small size makes it suitable for many applications, both in the industrial and automotive sectors.

I expect a positive result from Mattei UK participation in this important fair: British economy is lively and dynamic and it constantly grew in the last two years. It is only in the latest period that this process slowed due to the uncertainty deriving from the referendum results on remaining in the European Union” concludes Andy Jones.
