MAESTRO XC: DESIGN AND FUNCTIONALITY TO THE NTH DEGREE

The new controller from Mattei combines aesthetic beauty with innovative functions to guarantee continuous status monitoring and control of the compressor, to avoid the onset of any problems thanks to the ability to undertake predictive maintenance.

Technology, innovation, and design: the new Maestro XC controller is the icing on the cake of a state-of-the-art machine like the RVXi. A compressor developed in response to market demands for a machine that not only offers high performance in all conditions, is easy to maintain, and capable of saving even more energy, but also has even greater levels of attention to detail, design and Industry 4.0 connectivity.

If the RVXi represents the best expression of strength and attention to the environment amongst Mattei products, the Maestro XC Controller responds to the needs of those companies that look to the future, both in terms of functionality and aesthetic beauty. “With the RVXi we have developed a top-level compressor, destined only to push forwards the current variable speed compressed air sector”, explains Fabio Farneti, Mattei After Sales Manager, “but with the Maestro XC Controller we have gone even further, putting one foot into the future creating a revolutionary device, not only for its operational capabilities but also in terms of its design”.

MAESTRO XCEquipped with a 10-inch touch screen, the ability to be controlled remotely and connected to the internet via a company network or the onboard modem, the Maestro XC can be connected to the Mattei Cloud to keep the machine under constant control, from anywhere at any time: “Without a doubt this product is unique to the market”, acknowledges Farneti, “with the potential to lay down a marker for change much like happened with the launch of the first iPhone on the mobile phone market, which we now know only as smartphones”.

There are a few competitors who offer a cloud-based connection, but now with the ability to fully control the operation of the machine remotely, this marks a decisive step forward for the entire industry: “When you get to know all the features offered by the Maestro XC Controller, you realise how all future maintenance takes on a whole new shape. You go from corrective interventions, problematic by their very nature and costly, given that they can result in an outage of the machine. Now we have predictive maintenance, meaning lower costs, because the interventions happen before the fault occurs, reducing the risk of future problems and avoiding the need to pause production”.

Predictive maintenance is an advantage that extends beyond Mattei itself into the distributor channel: “With more people who can monitor the machine,” continues Farneti, “there are a series of advantages to benefit from. These include: a reduction in emergencies as monitoring makes it possible to intervene before they occur; intervention planning can be scheduled in advance with customers; technician resources can be managed better, resulting in improvements to service standards, both quantitively and qualitatively for both our customers and our distributors”.

In essence the distributor network gets much more than simply a new machine, but instead has an all-round service that puts the customer at the centre, enabling them to sleep soundly, confident in having a compressor that is monitored 24 hours a day, seven days a week, whilst the distributor can count on constant expertise and support from Mattei remotely: “It’s a bit like buying a new car, without having to worry about the road tax, insurance, or even servicing”, explains Fabio Farneti, “because now my mechanic knows when to intervene before a serious problem arises, saving me huge additional expenses”.
