MATTEI LAUNCHES 4.0 TRAINING

The latest equipment and maintenance news; with the birth of the RVXi there is now online training including simulations and real industry applications to present the latest machines and products to Mattei branches and distributors around the world.

Innovative by nature: from the creation of the latest generation of compressors, through to the use of technology to inform and educate about them.

With the launch of the new RVXi, Mattei also brought forward a new way to present developments to distributors and subsidiaries around the world. In just a few weeks a simple and fast means was developed to provide an online training service with simulations and tests carried out “in the field”.

An idea that has already delivered considerable success during the live-stream launch of the new machine. “Mattei has always guaranteed distributors with precise, detailed training on all the latest developments in the sector, welcoming technicians from all over Europe and the rest of the world to Vimodrone. This is all the more so important when presenting new machines such as the RVXi, whose 4.0 technology together with an incredible ability to deliver significant energy savings, make it the top compressor in our range”, says After Sales Manager, Fabio Farneti. “Unfortunately, the current climate had penalised us, making travel impossible. So, we decided to take the opportunity to develop a new online means of training, aimed at everyone, not only at technicians”.

As part of the inauguration, first up was the Maestro XC Controller, the tool that allows you to control and monitor the RVXi, even remotely: “Commercially, everything is simpler”, explains Farneti, “because we have to train our colleagues on all the functionality, both present and future potential that our innovative technology is able to offer. For this reason we created the ad hoc simulator, which allows us to present the Controller’s full screen display, just as if it were right in front of you, whilst highlighting all the functionality and allowing users to interact, even though remote”.

Training 4.0
But that’s not all: “The simulator can do a lot, but of course not everything, as it’s not connected to a machine” explains the Mattei After Sales Manager. “In order to show the full potential of the new controller, during the training course we also connect it to a real working machine, so as to demonstrate all the information that becomes available; essential when you want to understand exactly how the machine is performing”.

The first courses, hosted by Farneti himself, involved the entire Mattei UK branch, both from a commercial and technical standpoint, as well as several distributors from Italy, Portugal, Spain and Israel. “It was an extremely positive experience”, commented Fabio Farneti, “and I find this new method of online training very effective, especially from a commercial point of view. From a technical standpoint, there is still something to be said for the in-person courses, which still manage to give something extra. But the “practical” demos are very useful for learning how to operate the electronic parts of the controller, take for example when debugging after a fault. And given these successes we are now working to make this virtual experience even more “real” for participants”.

As Farneti points out: “The aim is to make the new controller more user-friendly from the outset, by providing all the necessary tools to make it an additional independent support, not reliant upon us, be it from installation through to monitoring of the machine, and this is the most striking proof of its validity”.
